Let’s Talk OSFI - Privacy Notice

The information collected through the Let’s Talk OSFI site is collected under the authority of the following applicable legislative provisions: the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions Act, the Bank Act, the Cooperative Credit Associations Act, the Insurance Companies Act, and the Trust and Loan Companies Act.

The use of the site is voluntary and personal information collected through the site will be used by OSFI to facilitate interactive communication and collaboration between OSFI and the user and for related programs and activities that are consistent with that purpose. Please be aware that by registering to participate in the interactive features of the site, you are providing your consent for the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information.

Personal information will be protected under the provisions of the Privacy Act and will be stored in the Personal Information Banks (PIBs) PSU 914 Public Communications and PSU 938 Outreach Activities.

Under the Privacy Act, you have the right to access your personal information and request correction of your information. You have the right to file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada regarding the handling of your personal information (File a formal privacy complaint - Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada).
