The Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) issues regulatory guidance as part of its quarterly announcements. This guidance addresses critical financial, and integrity and security risks outlined in the Annual Risk Outlook.
A virtual Industry Day is held two weeks following each announcement, providing stakeholders with an opportunity to ask questions or share comments on initiatives released that quarter.
The goal for taking this standardized approach is to make OSFI’s work more predictable and transparent.
