Quarterly Release Industry Days

As a modern regulator, the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) continues to provide regulatory efficiency that will ensure we are focused on areas of greatest risk, while allowing institutions to compete effectively and contribute to growth in the Canadian economy.

OSFI issues regulatory guidance as part of its quarterly announcements. This guidance addresses critical financial and integrity and security risks outlined in the Annual Risk Outlook.

A virtual Industry Day is held two weeks following each announcement, providing stakeholders with an opportunity to ask questions or share comments on initiatives released that quarter.

The goal in taking this standardized approach is to make OSFI’s work more predictable and transparent, as well as to provide stakeholders an opportunity to engage with OSFI.
